About Sweaty Frets

Customizable exercises for fretted instruments

The Problem

At SweatyFrets, we love to play. And we love to practice. But we got tired of the same static exercises just recycle pentatonic scales with a couple modifications. So SweatyFrets was born - a dynamic way to generate and customize exercises for your instrument and skill level. All exercises can be customized to any instrument, tuning, or musical key you like.

You already know you need to practice. SweatyFrets helps keep your practice sessions interesting!

SweatyFrets

There is just so much material out there to help you learn an instrument. Look at SweatyFrets as a supplement to whatever courses, YouTube videos, and books you're using now.

Dynamic Layout

Lots of us have extended range instruments, with more strings or more frets than normal. Or we're playing in an alternate tuning. SweatyFrets understands the theory and the fretboard to update exercises, note placement, and chord voicings. It doesn't always make sense, but neither does that weird open unison tuning you saw on a Dream Theater tab.

Exercise Transforms

There are practically infinite ways to combine and layer techniques in a workout. For every exercise on SweatyFrets, we offer ways to customize it for a particular key or playing style. If you want more flexibility, sign up for a free membership and go wild in the Exercise Generator. And in the near future you'll be able to save your own exercises and track progress with a Pro membership.
